Furiani Marble & Granite works with local granite yards in the Sacramento area that have great selections of both raw and prefabricated granite counters. You will have no problems finding what you are looking for. Once you have chosen the material at the granite yards, you “tag” it and leave the rest to us.
Prefabricated granite has most edgework already fabricated by the factory. The result is a solid granite slab complete with either a bullnose or ogee edge. Each granite countertop is pre-cut in either 96” or 108” lengths, depending upon the vendor. Counters have two edges already prefabricated – either a left or a right. Islands already have three edges prefabricated. Freestanding islands will still need finished edgework to fabricate the fourth edge. Prefabricated granite counters can generally be used on projects that have standard counter depths and no cabinet bump-outs. However, raw granite slabs generally offer greater color selection and edge work choices. |
